  4. Who can participate in Orizzonte ’16?
    Students from classes XI and XII can participate in Orizzonte 2016.
  5. What are the events being organised in Orizzonte 2015?
    Six competitive events will be organised in Orizzonte 2016. These are:  Eureka!(Entrepreneurial Challenge) , Out of the Box (Ad Mad), Stalking the Stock (Mock Stock), Vivencia (A test of managerial panache) and The Couch Potato Quiz (Entertainment Quiz). Additionally, two online competitive events are also being organised under Orizzonte Online (Picture Perfect and Roller Coaster).

  7. Is it mandatory for participants to come as official participants representing their school or can they participate independently?

    For competitive events at Orizzonte 2016
    Eureka! (Entrepreneurial Challenge), Out of the Box (Ad Mad), Stalking the Stock (Mock Stock), Vivencia, The Couch Potato Quiz (Entertainment Quiz) and The Jekyll-Hyde Debate.
    All participants who come to Orizzonte 2016 must come as official participants representing their respective schools.If any student is interested in participating independently and not as official participants representing their school, they can take part in the online events of Orizzonte 2016. Hence, Picture Perfect And Roller Coaster, for both, the official nentries as well as the independent entries will be accepted..
  8. How can we register for the events?
    To register online for the events, go to registrations. However no registration is required for the events under Orizzonte Online (Picture Perfect and Roller Coaster), read the event specific rules for further information on to participate in these two events.
  9. What is the last date for registration? Will on-the-spot registrations be accepted?
    Due to the overwhelming response receieved in the previous editions, online registrations will be given preference over on-the-spot registrations. Therefore, it is advisable for all teams to register online by 1st October 2016.
  10. Will the use of internet be permitted during the competitions?
    Use of any external resources like cell phones, internet, teachers’ guidance, etc. will not be allowed during the competition(s)
  11. Do I need to bring something to be able to participate in any of the events?
    Only the students participating in Stalking the Stock (Mock Stock) will need to carry their own calculators (use of mobile phone calculators will not be permitted). Participants of Eureka! (Entrepreneurial Challenge) are advised to carry a calculator too. The Participants of no other events are required to bring anything with them. However the students participating in Out Of The Box can carry props.
  12. Will there be refreshments?
    Yes, both breakfast and lunch will be provided to participating students.
  13. What is the reporting time?
    Registrations start at 8:00 a.m. All participants have to report at the registration desk before they can proceed for their events. Click here for the schedule.
  14. When will the results be announced?
    Results will be announced in the prize distribution ceremony.
  15. Do participants of the Orizzonte Online events (Picture Perfect and Roller Coaster) have to attend Orizzonte 2016?
    Only the winners for the Orizzonte Online events (Picture Perfect and Roller Coaster) have to attend Orizzonte 2016 to receive their prize.
  16. What will be the judging criteria for the Online Events?                                                      30% weightage will be given to the number of likes, and 70% weightage will be given to the marks given by the judge.
  17. When will the winners for the Orizzonte Online events (Picture Perfect and Roller Coaster) be announced?
    Winners for the Orizzonte Online events (Picture Perfect and Roller Coaster) be announced on our Facebook page on the evening of 1st October, 2016.
  18. How many entries can a student send for the Orizzonte Online events (Picture Perfect and Roller Coaster)?
    Only one entry per student will be allowed per student to each of the Orizzonte Online events (Picture Perfect and Roller Coaster).
  19. Will interjections be allowed in The Jekyll-Hyde Debate and what will be the time allotted to each speaker?                                                                                                                 No, interjections will not be allowed. The speaker will get 5 minutes  to present his/her case. The allotment of time would be : 2 minutes for the motion, 2  minutes against the motion and 1 minute for summarising (after the initial 20 minutes for preparation)
