Orizzonte – Annual Inter-School Management Fiesta

As a school student, when one thinks about life in college, there are aspirations and expectations, about experiencing life differently, about making a mark, and overall holistic development. Orizzonte is a venture in this direction. It aims to enhance interaction between schools and colleges, because we believe that their relation is not limited by a climb stone tradition.

We at the Department of Management Studies, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College (DDUC) are a small family of enterprising learners with big dreams. Orizzonte is an initiative by its students to bridge the gap between schools and colleges.

It is an event which will help you imagine a picture of the college life you want and the success that awaits you there in.

Orizzonte aims at refining the way ‘Business Management’ has been thought of by school students, especially as an educational experience. It seeks to provide a platform to students across schools to showcase their analytical, logical, reasoning and creative abilities, thus exploring new horizons and discovering their interests and future in college.

The first edition, Orizzonte ‘12 – Exploring New Horizons was successfully organised at the North Campus Conference Centre. The competitions included core management related events like product designing, mock stock, business quiz and group discussion. In addition to these, a movie making competition and an entertainment quiz were also held to show students the fun side of being a business management student.

After the success of our first Annual Management Festival for school students we organised Orizzonte’13 , Orizzonte’14 and Orizzonte’15 which was a bigger success with participation of over 600 students from 40 schools.
